This website is designed to facilitate an understanding of World History through art.  Each section contains a description of the particular art in focus.  Below, you will find links to downloadable activities for each section.  More will be added throughout the 2014-15 school year.

FOUNDATIONS ( to 600 B.C.E.)
  • Vocabulary Activity  Here is a list of 25 vocabulary terms used in this section.  The students can write the definitions for each.  Some of the terms are historical; some are not.
  • Vocabulary Quiz
  • Webquest Using the website, students will answer questions and make comparisons using the art from this section.  Not just for AP level students, but can be adapted to all levels.
  • Characteristics of Civilization Chart  Using information from the website, students will find an example of art for each of the 5 characteristics of civilization and describe the art in relation to the characteristic.
